BMR Racing are thrilled to announce that Ash Sutton will complete the driver line up for the 2019 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship. Ashley got a call late Wednesday evening by Pyro Motorsport team boss Mark Hunt, who was calling on behalf of Verizon Connect Racing and driver, Finlay Crocker. Sutton gets a taste of TCR

This Saturday’s TCR UK races at Oulton Park will see the reigning BTCC champion Ashley Sutton join the grid for the first time following a late switch of drivers. Reigning British Touring Car champion Ash Sutton took part in a driver evaluation day for the Walkinshaw Andretti United Australian Supercar team at Winton Motor Raceway last week. The 24-year-old was offered the drive by the Walkinshaw Andretti United team.   Sutton drove one of the team’s 650bhp Holden ZB Commodore machines which are used regularly in the championship by James Courtney and Scott Pye. We are delighted to confirm that current BTCC Champion Ash Sutton will remain with Team BMR for the 2018 season in a bid to defend the Driver’s Championship title. 23 year old Ash, from the Herts and Essex border, was crowned the 2017 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Champion back in October last year at Brands Hatch after an outstanding year with Team BMR in the Subaru Levorg Sports Tourer.
